Garnet provides a protective influence, as well as a connection to other dimensions.
Assisting one in being committed to one's self -- as well as to others -- garnet also helps preserve commitment to the causes that one respects and holds dear. |
showing the way
Garnet's luminous quality is said to "show one the way," by activating within one a willingness to serve others while remaining true to oneself.
Helping to integrate one's life experiences, garnet assists one in self-discovery. It does this by helping one to recognize flashes of insight and apply them in the appropriate place in ones life.
On the physical side, garnet activates the second (sacral) and first (root) chakras, increasing one's creative energy as well as equalizing sexual energy. Garnet also repairs damage to DNA and enhances the body's ability to assimilate iodine, calcium, magnesium and vitamin A and E.
Note: Also see individual garnet varieties: almandine garnet, green garnet, hessonite, red garnet, rhodolite, spessartine, and tsavorite.
