Held in late April, Floralia celebrated Flora, the ancient Roman goddess of flowering plants, especially those that bear fruit. A wild and crazy time, it is said that in 30 AD, the entertainments at the Floralia presented under the emperor Galba featured a tightrope-walking elephant.
A slippery-smooth labradorite pendant, with radiant flashes of bright blue, highlights a necklace of cheery green peridot with subtle blue iolite accents. Bezel-set iolite cabochon & sterling silver clasp. Pendant drop 1 1/4". Limited edition.
